Following a soft launch at the recent TEDx Amsterdam, Delft University has now released a demo if its bird-like drone. It flies itself but it looks to me as though it can't land...you simply have to grab it out of the air. Flying time in 8 minutes at the moment before the battery is exhausted. The users see it being used in concerts - though I don't believe the drone could carry a Gro-Pro plus a stabilizing gimbal. The TEDx talk mentions that it is an open source project.
