First saw Gerd give a talk about this subject in 2005. But this talk takes the argumentation to a new level. He starts off by talking about why Spotify is going to peak and how it will not do for music what Netflix has done to the filmed entertainment business.
This is one of the best performances I have seen Gerd give and it was just a few weeks ago in Sweden. The pace is right - and the story is much clearer. Well worth watching, including the exchange with Paul Brindley around 48 minutes in. I think Gerd goes a long way to answering the challenges facing media production companies as a whole.
