I wonder how many people forget to "log-out" when leaving the US, having been finger printed and photographed on their way in? In Chicago they had certaonly streamlined the border controls - 5 minutes instead of the usual 50 at O'Hare. But no-one reminded you to sign out of the system on departure, i.e. they did not ask you to show the receipt at the gate. Bet their system will quickly get polluted with people who appear to be in the US without a VISA, yet have in fact left ages ago.
