GoPro Continues to Shine Way Above the Rest

I think the new GoPro HD cameras have done more to make exciting video footage in the last year than all other video camera companies put together. 449 Euro for a camera capable of producing 4K resolution. And people really know how to get the best out of it.

Adrenalin Burst - Base Jumping in the Malaysian capital

We're not crazy...we're amazing. Amazing what you can do with a Go-Pro and a huge amount of adrenalin. Makes the old Malaysia ads on BBC World News look rather tame. Turns out I know the video producer of this sequence.

Go Pro - The Great Disruptors

Go Pro are really disrupting the broadcast industry because their tiny HD cameras capture stuff in places where others fear to tread. And Go Pro just has to make good stuff. The audience of users does the rest. Makes me feel sorry for some of the others in the broadcast industry who seem to be in total denial that their industry is going through meteoric change. The title of the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers'  annual conference seems to sum it up.

“Adapt or Die? Creating a profitable future through business innovation”

Wonder if the two day conference will come up with any solutions?

Inside the Pipe Videos - GoPro Safaris

Riding the pipe in the middle of nowhere. I like how Mike Escamilla  lashes things together a makeshift tripod. GoPro are certainly changing the face of sports videos. Mike is using a GoPro Wifi BacPac system which retails in the US at 129 dollars, excluding the cost of the camera. But even the top of the range GoPro camera is only US$350.
