Robot bridges?



The idea of creating autonomous robotic swarms is nothing new, a concept that's been demonstrated by GRASP Lab's quadrotors. What needs to happen now is for developers to push the technology forward and come up with practical applications for these cooperative bots. A good example is the new Tactically Expandable Maritime Platform — a fleet of programmable robots that could someday come to your rescue. Why is this relevant to the Netherlands? Its just over 60 years since devastating floods.

James Bond theme played by helicopters



This is what you get if things get too driven by technology. Amazing technology combined with a lousy performance. Definitely something Q would have built, though he would have added more explosives.



Thanks to Absolute Radio in London for posting the press conference about the 23rd Bond movie Skyfall to the Interwebs. Will be coming out later in 2012 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the release of Dr No.
