Carts at WPLJ-FM!
Jim Cutler discovers that New York radio station WPLJ-FM still has music carts in the studio - last seen around here in the late 80's. Surprised they survived into the new millennium....
Not strictly carts but I see here that there's a service here http://www.niemanlab.org/2012/07/save-your-darlings-blank-on-blank-gives-new-life-to-old-tape/ from a chap called David Gerlach encouraging people who have content on old media that have survived into the 21stC to share them - in short, "...journalists submit old tape, and his production team polishes it up".
The article caught my eye as it used one of my Flickr images of cassettes :)
