In April last year, gospel station HCJB posted the video below of their new shortwave broadcast facility in North-West Australia.
To me it is perfect proof of a project being totally technically driven. Whilst it is technically possible to reach the countries mentioned in the video, the hard truth is that the audio quality is a lot worse than the video suggests. But perhaps the biggest challenge is that the audience is no longer on that part of the dial. While the rest of the world is dismantling their facilities, HCJB is apparently doing the opposite. Do they know something we don't? I am afraid not. Under 100 views on YouTube is always a bad sign.
