Snaps taken at the official inauguration of the monument to the PHOHI shortwave transmitter towers at 14 hrs UTC, Saturday 11th November 2006. Mayor of Huizen, F.W. van Gils, officially accepts the towers from the organising committee. Seems the project has taken 2 1/2 years and is a 1/5th scale model of the original. These were first, wooden, rotatable SW antennas in the world. The model is fixed as it would have stood for transmissions in the direction of Surinam. Rest of the photos are on Flickr.
