The FAO building was constructed in the 1970's...its a real rabbit warren of offices and meeting rooms, many named after a country who has clearly sponsored the furnishings/decor in the room. Quite a lot of discussions with US based organisations are being held in the Iran room which seems strange at first. The insides of the building may be less than inspiring - the view from the terrace on the 8th floor must be one of the best in Rome. More later.
